Digitally literate ambassadors to teach seniors how to learn to activate video calls (so they can get connected to more activities) / use of certain important apps including SG Assist app to get volunteers to assist them with things like getting groceries/ food/ etc. (Basic Digital Literacy)
Volunteers to work with a marketing agency, Grid Synergy in preparing collaterals for a campaign that we are ramping up to get SMEs to join forces in giving. (Marketing/Publicity)
Volunteers to help SMEs to build up their online capabilities (to assist them in adapting to the current situation and going forward in the future) either marketing or just use of apps/ software for meetings and communications. (Digital Literacy - familiar with online communications software/apps)
Volunteers to co-create an online 15 mins training, to upgrade existing Kampong Heroes into COVID19 Warriors. The training course will include the knowledge of how to help safely, knowing the before/ during/ after of rendering assistance, as well as the fundamentals of hygiene. (Apps Development)

Volunteers to collect lightly used soap from hospitality partners for repurposing before distributing the soap bars to migrant workers and other vulnerable groups in the community. Volunteers will get hands-on experience on all the different stages of soap recycling.
Volunteers interested in PR/marketing/fundraising are also most welcome to reach out. They can be paired with our recently recruited group of interns (with guidance from staff/board members) to contribute in the different areas.

Books Beyond Borders is recruiting volunteers for the following:

Finance Management - Good with numbers and with accounting background who can support us in building our long-term financial strategy and transparency model.
Digital Marketing / Content Writing – To develop social media content & campaigns (schedule, tracking analytics etc.) and to drive book donations.
Graphic Design/ Illustration – To create graphic content for social media posts. Volunteers must be familiar with Canva, Photoshop.
Video Editing – To edit travel videos, run campaign videos, shoot local stories. Volunteers must be familiar with Adobe premiere pro / Final Cut.
Non-skilled based (ad-hoc) - Coordinate directly with book donors and book buyers, and to support book donation drives / events etc.

Volunteers to help the children at the centre with homework or plan engaging activities for them to engage in (3 - 4.30pm homework, 4.30 - 6pm activities). Volunteers can either choose the homework or activities slot, or do both.

Communications Teams to develop an external communications strategy for the organization’s Website, Facebook Page, Instagram page, and Newsletter.

This would entail helping the organization with compiling and sorting photos and videos.
Migrating and revamping the organization’s website and email onto a new platform.
Revamping and streamlining the Organization’s Website, Facebook, Instagram page to create a meaningful online presence, and distilling a coherent narrative. Developing donation platforms.
Redesigning the design and layout of the organization’s newsletter and helping to draft newsletter issues.
Documenting migrants’ stories and working on an online media campaign to draw attention to the migrants’ plight, needs and recovery.

Accounting and Administrative Assistant in keeping good accounting records for a non-profit.

Assisting in tracking/compiling donations, expenses and disbursement records.
Assisting Administration Manager in making entries into MYOB.
Generating invoices and tracking income for physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine sessions.

Case and Community Work for migrant workers-in-distress.

Perform intake and assessment of migrant workers who are seeking assistance at the centre. Keep good documentation records.
Accompany workers to institutions, MOM, hospitals, police, to ensure they are properly serviced. Liaise with respective institutions to address migrants’ concerns through phone calls and emails and advocate on a casework level.
